Pardus Google'a Yanaştı

Google, en iyi açık kaynak kodlu yazılımı seçmek için Summer Of Code adında bir yarışmayı geleneksel hale getirdi. 2005, 2006 ve 2007 yıllarında düzenlediği bu yarışmayı bu senede devam ettiriyor. Herhangi bir proje üzerinde geliştirilen en iyi açık kaynak kodlu yazılımı ya da betiği üretmek yarışmaya katılma şansını veriyor.
 Bu Sene Pardus Kendini Gösterecek
Eski yarışmalarda keşke olsaydı dediğimiz bu durum nihayet bu sene yaşanmadı. Pardus'u da kendini gösterirken göreceğiz. Sonuç beklenildiği kadar iyi olmayacak olsa bile (biz onlara güveniyoruz), hiç olmazsa Pardus isimi daha fazla kişi tarafından biliniyor olacak. Bu tanınmanın sonunda başta Pardus'a gönül verenler olmak üzere hepimiz bir mutluluk tadını alacağız... :)
Pardus Diyor ki;
"Geçtiğimiz üç yıl boyunca açık kaynak dünyasında ağırlığı artan ve 90 ülkeden 2000 kadar programcının gözetiminde 1500 stajyerin yarattığı ürünleri yazılım dünyasına bağışlayan Google Summer of Code 2008 yılı programında Pardus projelerini de sunuyor.
TÜBİTAK/UEKAE staj programına paralel olarak dünyanın dört bir yanından öğrencilerle Google çatısı altında geliştirilecek yeni projeler de bu sonbaharda Pardus projesine ve tüm özgür yazılım camiasına sunulmuş olacak.
Pardus, bilişim dünyasının bu önemli etkinliğinde bir çok başka özgür projenin yanında Debian, Fedora&JBoss, Gentoo, openSUSE ile birlikte 5 Linux dağıtımından biri olarak yer alıyor.
Projenin yürütücüsü Google olduğundan katılmak için İngilizce bilmek gerekiyor."
